WWWYKI — NXT adds viewers with Matt Cardona’s 1st WWE match since 2020
The ratings and viewership data are in for the Oct. 13 episode of WWE NXT on The CW.
Per Programming Insider, the latest episode of WWE’s Tuesday night show drew an audience of 690,000 with a .12 rating in the 18-49 year old demographic. That’s unchanged in the demo from the previous week’s big Showdown episode with TNA, but an increase of just over 10% in total viewers.
Competition came from, well, other programs featuring competitions. ABC’s Dancing With The Stars won the night with a 1.26 rating from an overall audience of 5.98 million. TBS coverage of Game 2 of the Dodgers/Brewers baseball post-season series finished second, and was the highest rated thing on cable last Tuesday, with a 1.16 from 5.04 million viewers. NXT finished last among the 10 original shows on broadcast.
What we’re wondering is… were those 65K people watching AEW the week before? Did the former Zack Ryder bring the viewers to NXT, even in defeat?
The start of Ricky Saints NXT title reign? Or maybe was it Tatum Paxley’s big night?
Weigh in below, after the past year’s worth of numbers for NXT on The CW.
