‘Disaster’ for Sam Mulroy as Louth skipper to miss start of championship

Sam Mulroy will definitely miss Louth’s SFC opener against Wexford or Laois on Sunday week – and faces a Leinster semi-final race against time if they make it that far.

The Louth skipper and scoring talisman is struggling with a hamstring injury that ruled him out of their final Allianz League outing against Meath – a “disaster” in terms of timing, he admitted.
