Blake Monroe shows up on SmackDown, helps Flair & Bliss retain WWE tag team titles

Tonight’s (Oct. 17) episode of SmackDown featured WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss defending the gold against NXT’s Sol Ruca and Zaria. You knew shenanigans might be afoot when NXT star Blake Monroe was in the audience to check out the action, as she has a match coming up against Ruca later this month at Halloween Havoc.

Things were looking great for the NXT duo when Flair fell victim to the Sol Snatcher finishing move, but Bliss was there to break up the pin attempt. Ruca then made a huge mistake moments later when she was distracted by Monroe. Sol got caught in Flair’s figure eight leg lock as a result, and she tapped out as Monroe cheered on her misery.

Ruca and Zaria ultimately showed they can hang with the main roster champs, while also furthering Ruca’s beef with Monroe in NXT.
